Therapy that meets your nervous system where it is.
Regulated, trauma-informed psychotherapy for women, girls and families across Ontario. Grounded in somatic awareness, attachment theory and anti-oppressive practice — because healing that ignores the body, the relationship and the system is incomplete.
Your Path Into Therapy
The Waves Clinical Approach
Every therapy session at Waves is grounded in the understanding that your symptoms are not the problem - they are your nervous system's best attempt at protection. Our work together is about helping your nervous system learn that it is safe to do something different.
We work somatically - meaning we pay attention to what your body is holding, not just what your mind is saying. We work in phases - building safety and stabilisation before moving into trauma processing. We work relationally - because the therapeutic relationship itself is part of the healing.
This is trauma-informed, attachment-informed, anti-oppressive practice. It is nervous system-aware, body-aware and deeply respectful of the complexity of your life.
